Azhur, adopting at first a loyal and honorable state of mind, tried to stay calm and relax to affront any provocation coming from the cunning old man sat opposite him.
 - “Well… Archbishop Surantyr, I see plainly that you’re a wise and experienced man. Nobody can achieve such position as yours without having an acute sense of reality doubled with high will and commitment. For people with duties toward the innocent population as you, I believe that cold facts are far more useful than pure impressions…”

- “If you know my name and quest, then I can only conclude that you’re a well informed leader… but if I wish you to accept my demands, I believe that you need more accurate data to think of.”

Looking intrepidly in the old wizard eyes, he continued:
- “I’m Azhur from Loskalm, third son of Lord Daymare who’s House goes up to the ancient men of Akem. Long before the rise of the heretic empire of the Godlearners that crushed both our loved countries...”
There Azhur glanced again the old man to see if his family name was making him reacting.

- “I was called -the Sinnerbane- because when I was a Knight, I dedicated my life to bring Justice in remote areas, protecting as much as I could the poorest against abuses and crimes, and thus pursued and captured lot of smugglers and poachers but also hung several brigands and slavers, this, if without hesitation, always after a fair trial.

Then pointing clearly on the archbishop’s mistake, he added:
- This was my duty as… Knight of the Sparrow -hawk-, because my chivalrous order is dedicated to go where… well… the very official order of the Sparrow just doesn’t usually go. Places like here today: distant and weird with other rules than straight loskalmi.

- But I am not a knight any longer, because I have just received the great honor and duty of being accepted as liturgist of the Battle Seers’ Chapter of New Hrestoli Church. I was sent on this quest of Talor’s weapons to help, of course my own kingdom, but also all places of freedom in Fronela, as will testify my fellow travelers, and if we fail, all the places of freedom that will have to face the terrible and immoral Kingdom of War. If this doomed day happens, you will find that the armies of Seshnala are like baby girls playing with dolls, compared to the daily atrocities of the Kingdom of War.

A silence followed, while Azhur was trying to disperse the memories of carnages he witnessed and barely endured.
- Is it said that the Kingdom of War is on its own quest to bring back the fearful Gabji among us and some prophecies say that only Talor’s weapons can stop this. In this times, where some Arkat the Destroyer, Arkat the Deceiver and even worse Arkat the Chaos Monster are announced… I tend to believe those prophecies!

Azhur’s voice raised into a more faithful, evangelical and then self-satisfied tone:
- If you are a responsible man, if you deeply believe that Arkat was a god… or even a saint… or a least a hero of his time, very dedicated against Chaos, will you help? Or will you stay on your own, refuse your assistance and let once again develop a fool empire of crime and murder? Personally I have chosen and I will serve the Quest. I will protect the pagans, the heretics and the true ones, whatever that means, all the same, because they are all just pure innocents in front of what the Kingdom of War is able to do…

Realizing that his was letting his passion pushing him to far in front of a superior guide of a malkioni church, even a heretic one, Azhur lowered his head with a last remembering of humility.
- “I was trained to joust among my countrymen and to praise the glory of God at the church, no to debate with foreign people about the pro and con of their own beliefs against mines. So I will just ask you, Archbishop Surantyr, as responsible of the soul and life of thousands, when your turn will come…will you help? I’m not a diplomatic envoy, I have nothing to offer in return, even my time is running short…

- Archbishop Surantyr, I just need you to let us know what was unknown or forgotten in Fronela about Talor’s weapons, Talor’s foreign weapon bearers and Talor himself. To get this information, I can just only faithfully hope that the Great Creator, in Who we two are both deeply believing, that He will support our efforts in return, recognizing that we deserve more and better than enemies that are using this now time of disorder to augment their own petty power of mortals.

Azhur was betting that the archbishop would be much more annoyed by the presence of the invading seshnelan armies sent by the rokari church than by the presence in his libraries of a disparate group of the distant Fronela. Of course the second was easier to discard than the first ones, but Azhur kept his final asset if this case would occur.

OOC : Hope of this stuff is readable and enjoyable (?)

an aging wiry man with alert eyes and an active
demeanor. His clothing, his audience chamber, his
furnishings - all indicate a man with extremely
spartan tastes. You are alone with the Archbishop."

"I have heard of your quest, Azhur Sinnerbane of the
Order of the Sparrow. You seek to reunite the Three
Weapons of Talor, but why you have come here, I do not
know."

"We may be of the same religion, but we are of
different Churches. I greet you are a brother of the
Invisible hand that guides all that is good. But you
do not venerate the opponents of the Devil as we do.
That is a grave and serious failing on your part."

"The One True God has provided others to fight against
chaos. Malkion is one such deity, the bringer of the
Word. Hrestol is another. As is Orlanth, the
Lightbringers. And.." - his voice falls to a hush
which neverthless carries across the room - "... so is
Arkat Chaosbane".

"We don't just let anyone into the rooms of our
ancient manuscripts, you know".

It would seem that although Azhur has tried to avoid
confrontation, eventually it has caught up with him...
