OOC : Nice strike, master ! :-)
At least we've got a description of our next target.
The thing seems able of peaceful relationships, that's a big point.
Now let's Azhur enter in little depressive mood, that will make him a out of the main lights for a moment.

Do we head for Ballid Woord now ?
Gee, this will not help Azhur...
;-)

Archbishop Surantyrn is impressed with Anzhur's
impassioned pleas and indeed recognised the family
name with a thin smile, and thus granted him ingress
to the Henotheist Church library. Whilst by no means
as impressive as, say, the famous University of
Sogolatha Mambrola library (which truly must be the
greatest library in all of Glorantha) this place is
hardly lacking in its collection of musty tomes and
old scrolls.

For ten days Anzhur searched the library with the aid
of a Henotheist librarian for information pertaining
to the Beast of Rhis. Apart from the information that
has already been received from the Golden Dwarf,
Anzhur is unable to discover anything new: apart from
the account of one Henotheist traveller from the
Castle Coast of Seshnela some five score years ago who
refers to a terrible experience of being hunted by
werewolves in the nearby woods. The traveller refers
to a man-beast, naked without fur, coming out of the
woods and *commanded* the wolves to let him be. The
man-beast then took him to the ruins of Laurmal and
nursed his wounds. He comments that the creature's
transformed the following day into something that
looked like a bizarre combination of a troll, a human,
an elf and a dward but skin was most unusually smooth,
and seemed to be without any hair or fur, whatsoever.

More surprising for Anzhur however is discovering an
old historical account of the Gbaji Wars which refers
to the Red Banner of Valor and to the House of
Daymare. It would seem that Anzhur's ancestors fought
alongside Arkat and Talor themselves, participated in
the formation of the Stygian Alliance and in the
apothesisation of Arkat!

Aghast by this discovery, Anzhur conducts further
research on his families relationship with this cult.
His fears are confirmed; his family has been, for
centuries, the lynchpin of the Arkati heresy in
Loskalm. For a mere mortal to discover the secret of
heroquesting, for a man to become a God - these are
the highest ideals of the cult, and the reason why the
family has always sought to protect the poorest of the
poor, recognising the godly potential within all.

Giddy, Anzhur stumbles from the library holding his
head as it has been smitten. Daymare? Oh yes, the name
itself does indeed conjure a nightmare in waking
hours.

.....

Apologies for this being a bit Anzhur-centric, but hey
the spotlight will move... Anything the others wish to
get up whilst every strip of faith and familial
loyalty is being stripped from this character? ;-)

If not we'll move on to the next scene... Aaroo! The
Werewolves of Telmori!
