Aalmon looked up from his pile of parchments and stopped muttering
darkly for a moment.

After a deep breath the scowl that had been on his face for days
disappeared and he slowly replied

"The insight of the goddess is that with our mere mortal senses we often
mistake one thing for another or see differences where the underlying
truth is one-ness. With wisdom and insight it is possible to realise
that the distinction between a Saint and a so-called pagan god comes
from our limited understanding not from a fundamental difference in
their Immortal nature. The schisms of the churches are reflections of
our failure to understand - but then the One is beyond the understanding
of anyone who is not themselves an Immortal so it is our nature and
purpose to strive for understanding not to achieve it. The goddess was a
mortal who brought this wisdom and the path to understanding and
Immortality that it offers and for this we regard her as one of the
Prophets. And prophet she indeed is for the underlying truth of her
nature is no different to that of the other Prophets no matter that her
seeming form may be so different to our puny senses and intellect."

"Anyway, that is how we Arrolians see it." He smiles for the first time
in days "You did ask."

He glared moodily at the paperwork in front of him

"Should my opinion matter I think we should seek out the Mystic. Now if
you do not mind I must see off this task lest it bring down the accursed
taxes."

OOC: My Summon Accountant Ritual worked so I'm feeling slightly less
put-upon. Hopefully I will have a bit more time next week.
