As each member of the fellowship reappears Aalmon seems to relax, he 
even manages to ignore the obvious excitement of his brother when they 
catch sight of Icthya.

Aalmon steps forward "We are all present at last. As you know Wilkairtha 
we are not the first to march under this banner but I doubt if our 
rag-tag group looks much like those you met before, nor are our 
intentions like those you met before. We have been seeking you for a 
while now, send from far North of here by the shade of the first mortal 
to avert a disaster that may befall all his descendants. On the way here 
I think each of us has had a glimpse of why we need to seek you out and 
what we need to do. For when you last met the bearers of this banner 
something terrible was unleashed upon you, upon the world. I believe 
that curse can be, if not entirely undone then at least made anew into 
something different and I believe we are here to seek out the path to 
this transformation. "

He walks over to the diorama

"But there are other more pressing matters and those that all of us 
would consider our foes at any time, the undead. We have come to lend 
what strength we have in common cause against this enemy."

He paused and took out his crystal chess pieces, gazing at them 
thoughtfully for a moment "I would not like to upset your thinking but 
in my own humble way I have been studying the position and - perhaps I 
am wrong - I think this piece may be missing" and he stepped over to 
place the black king off to one side of the main battle yet overseeing 
all that went on. "If my divination is right then the piece is named 
Theoblanc and is the key to the whole thing."
