will know him from various online Glorantha/RuneQuest
games. I'm trying to convince him to play a Telmori
;-)

I've decided this is a good opportunity to do a
summary of the last ten months of play...

The Story of Talor's Fellowship (Abridged)

A shepherd from Jonating found a fragment of Kyrmon's
Scroll, which said a heroquester would meet with Gbaji
The Deceiver and form a Kingdom of War to herald his
return and only the knowledge of the Nameless Man
could prevent the greatest Chaos returning to Fronela.
A Council was convened at the University of Sog City
which formed a Hero band to seek the knowledge of the
Nameless Man. 

The Fellowship consisted of;

Icthya, Aldryami of Erontree, 
Aalmon, Courier-Lancer of Riverjoin, 
Azhur Sinnersbane, Knight of Loskalm
Kalen Ironhand, of the Mostal
Karala the Uncoling Who
Walks-With-The-Great-White-Wolf
Jareena The Healer Belveren cultist
Judge Kraken of Sog City
Ureban, Defin Anostos' 4th son, a Junoran Petty Noble
Donalari, Bishop of Timms
El Grim, Knight of Loskalm

The University's scrying had sighted the Nameless Man
in Dilis Swamp. There they were first attacked by
chaotic Vroluti monsters where Kalen's Holy Hand
Grenade proved useful, before confronted by a riddle
by the Nameless Man who possessed of El Grim. By
conferencing with the rest of the Fellowship, Anzhur
revealed the Nameless Man to be Sin, Grandfather
Mortal and each an every person. Satisfied, the
Nameless Man revealed the location of the Weapons of
Talor, the greatsword, the axe and the flail.
Knowledge of the axe would be found in Bad Deal, the
flail with a man named Yao Fune in Karolela and the
Greatsword with Mrs. Flint on the Blue Moon Plateau.
With that knowledge revealed, the Nameless Man
departed leaving El Grim dead. The hero band returned
to Sogolotha Mambrola with their news and conducted a
burial for El Grim and Anzhur became a Liturgist of
the Battle Seers.  Icthya received a copper trowel and
a bag of seeds from a runner.

They then travelled to the High Llama Pass where they
paid the requisite fee demanded by the keepers of the
pass and their Grotaron allies. From there they
travelled to Bad Deal itself, where Kalen introduced
them to Gulth the Golden Dwarf. After much resistance,
Gulth revealed that during the rule of Arkat the elder
races build a collective human, made up of dwarf, elf
and troll. This monster,  Wilkairtha, ended up with
Talor's Axe. His current whereabout would only
possibly be known by the Mystic of Vustria. At this
point Ureban decided to return to Fronela to prepare
against the coming of the Kingdom of War.

Travelling through the wilds of Railos, the party
eventually made it to the Mystic who condemned them as
servants of Talor and, with an army of werewolves,
attacked. Most escaped using Aalmon's Star Walking
Magic however Donarlari was torn apart and Karala
allowed herself to be captured, claiming to the be
saviour of the Telmori.  The rump party eventually
made it to Zorakarkat where they met with Arkat the
Troll who prepared them to conduct the Rescue of Makla
Mann HeroQuest. With the asocial Troll transformed
into a trollkin by Arkat, Aalmon took up the lead role
in the HeroQuest station of avoidance (Pure Doggeral)
of the Telmori, then the station of infiltration led
by Icthya (Let Sleeping Dogs Lie) which rescued Karala
and her new ally. Thaneora, escape from The Den (A
Dogged Escape or Soon To Be Dog Food),  and finally
defenses were laid by Kalen (Giving the Dog A Bone),
eventually allowing the party to esacpe by 'surfing'
on trout and salmon to the dockside of Syran, city of
bronze and glass.

In Syran, the Overlord of Senatos requested their
presence at the Crystal Palace. Princess Erengazor
revealed that an alliance of forces was about to smash
the Kingdom of Seshnela and requested the Fellowship's
aid in assasinating the King. Most refused, but Icthya
made a secret deal with the princess. She also
mentioned that Judge Kraken, who had not gone on the
HeroQuest had travelled to the Palace of the Pentacle
in Arolanit. In the meantime, Anzhur discovered in a
St. Humact library that his family heirloo, the Red
Banner of Valour, was originally carried by Talor's
companion, Zorscam the Axe-Bearer, who was defeated in
battle by Wilkairtha, who then established a community
of Telmori in Seshnela.

Leaving Railos, Talor's Fellowship travelled to the
the immortal but spiritless Kingdom of Arolanit and
the Palace of the Pentacle where they found that Judge
Kraken had died. Questioning his Essence revealed that
he had attempted to capture Wilkairtha or his axe and
instead had been caught by them; Wilkairtha's axe
wound had poisoned him as it carried the Telmori curse
and as such he returned to the Palace where he
committed suicide. Meanwhile Icthya joined up with the
Elves of Tarinwood and established a great forest
around Seguarane, trapping many within the
three-walled city as the forces of Arolanit, Ralios
and Nolos split Seshnela into three. Icthya sent
Karela into the Castle itself where he attempted to
"fix" the "Broken King", was captured and then rescued
by a talking Rubble Runner who demanded twenty deer a
season to complete the job.

The rump Fellowship had travelled to the Castle Coast
where they sought a means to travel into the lands of
Wilkairtha. Assisted by a centaur, they discovered
that the forces of Nolos had begun undead rituals and
were now led by Vampires. Wilkairtha had led a force
of Telmori to confront them. Travelling to the new
Forest of Seguarane, a divination by Aalmon discerned
that Theoblanc, head of the Rokari Church was behind
the Vampiric invasion. The Fellowship has now met in
Wilkairtha's campsite in the southern edge of the
Seguarne Forest discussing how to defeat the Vampire
horde that approaches.
