Aalmon had tried to suppress his wry smile as he listened to this - too
clever by half he had thought to himself. Then when it seemed nobody
else would speak he answered "Well we could try that but maybe we could
simply ask politely for his help first and see how he responds. We don't
know what trickery or coercion might work or fail so to attempt any
seems rather risky to me. Of course if being nice does not work or his
demands are impossible then I'm sure we could try something like you
suggest, Baros and I could help a bit with weaving an illusion if that
is what we needed to do."
