Aalmon had tried to suppress his wry smile as he listened to this - too
clever by half he had thought to himself. Then when it seemed nobody
else would speak he answered "Well we could try that but maybe we could
simply ask politely for his help first and see how he responds. We don't
know what trickery or coercion might work or fail so to attempt any
seems rather risky to me. Of course if being nice does not work or his
demands are impossible then I'm sure we could try something like you
suggest, Baros and I could help a bit with weaving an illusion if that
is what we needed to do."
"Human, I do not know this Nameless Man. All I know is that the Chancellor said he had committed many crimes." Icthya had seemed to be tired of speaking in this barbarous tongue and ready to desist. "We go seeking a criminal and you wish to ask him ever so nicely if he could be so kind as to hand over the secrets to the three most powerful weapons in Genertela? It seems 'risky' to you, does it?" Icthya´s eyes lift to the heavens, "We have just entered a swamp infested by the Predark and are like as not to meet some of those toad-broo before long and now you are worried about 'risky'? Well, when you are ready to go and ask the Nameless Man nicely for his secrets, give me a bit of warning, won't you?"
OOC: Ask him nicely??? And we have to backtrack for that? How thoroughly dull, Nic. Tsk. Icthya doesn´t have Nice as one of her abilities.
OOC2: Loran, the "confusion" was deliberately placed in the past. By the time the NM appears, there is a wonderful masterplan in plae. Like asking him nicely ;-)
OOC3: Í'm verging on suggesting we kill him an take his stuff now...
