[HQ Ignorance] Scene Five: The Nameless Man Arrives

Aalmon listened to Kalen and pondered some more

"If he was created then perhaps that is why he is nameless. Any man with 
a father or mother would have a name, perhaps a secret name never spoken 
perhaps even no more name than 'my unborn son' of a mother who did not 
survive his birth but always some name. But what man who was created 
rather than born would have no parents to grant him a name."

He stroked at the stubble beginning to form on his chin for a while then 
continued "The other thing is that he gifted us with time. He cannot 
have created time for all the gods together enacting the will of the All 
did that so what does he mean that he gifted us with time? No man 
created time itself. Perhaps he gave us our time, the span of our lives 
- which is all the time we will ever have."

He laughed out loud "I am getting as bad as the minderkind philosophers, 
I will probably persuade myself that up is down before I finish. What 
defines the time we have? Our birth and our death mark out the time that 
each of us have. I cannot think that he gifted us our birth but there is 
one in myth who chose death for all of us. The one who chose to die."
