Thanks Sam for this very interesting words.
*** My pleasure :)
Effectively, It is really hard for Azhur to imagine that true western malkioni are parents with men-beast of the past and monstruous krjalki, like trolls and dwarves (not speaking about vegetable-men)...
*** Indeed
In western belief it is SIN that bring mortality, as Death comes to immortal brithini, who were the only true men in the past ages.
*** I really start to like the idea that Azhur responds by calling him "Sin" :-) Probably best not, but it could make sense.
*** ...I get a bit lost with the Hrestoli stuff. That´s just me, though, not you.
Because if the Nameless One was the proposed solution of an universal Primal Human Being, then killing him will aslo kill beastmen and destroy elves, no ?
*** In principle, maybe. I think he is more the grandfather of mortals than mortals though. Sort of. Elves arose when Aldrya or someone mated with Man. In practice, this guy could just be a lunatic who has decided he´s an important god.
I like the "ME" solution because it contains a double sens and avoids the clarification you ask to Azhur.
*** It could also confuse him and make him disappear in a puff of logic :)
(and after all of this I beg you to tell us if you make such a subtile riddle or, if as usual, players make it complicated and impossible themselves? :-D)
*** I think players make things simple when they want to kill things and take their stuff. We haven´t tried that.
PS : I diseagree with the idea that if we loose "Time" we go back to the Green Age... my opinion is that without the Great Spell/Net, Dark Age and Devil are back... to my opinion, sabotage of the mission will be a failure for all... I will have to discuss this with an elf of my knowledge ;-)
*** I agree, and I´m not about to have Icthya be a secret agent or anything. Then again, I have no idea what the great spell the elves are planning is.
PPS : Make war to bring Peace ? you have exemples ?
*** There was something more specifically related to KoW on the HQ list recently. I forget the details. My real world analogy would simply be that it is a common justification for war, even if people don´t specifically say they are making war to bring peace. Expansionist war maybe not, but interventionist war yes.
Any other hint or argument ?
*** Not from me.
Sam.
