Player's Notes
--------------

Once again, thank you for your interest in this game.
I have had a large turnout (there's 12 on this list
including myself) so between us we should be able to
generate a "ripping yarn" of epic adventure.

Some of you I believe have much better Glorantha
knowledge than me. Feel free to offer plot or setting
advice at any time. I really do want to make this
project as collaborative as possible.

With regards to posting, adopt any style you feel
appropriate. I'm not going to force you to write in
any tense. In terms of detail, go for big rather than
small. As I mentioned to one player already, this is
more like "The Silmarillion" than "Lord of the Rings".

It is expected that each player contribute at least
two posts per week. Lead characters (see below) will
need to contribute four. None of the posts have to be
particularly long; just enough to get an idea of what
you're doing and what you want to happen. 

Character Generation
--------------------

Read through the notes for the first scene. Generate a
character based on those notes, with narrative method
(p20-21 HQ), introduce yourselves in a manner fitting
to the first scene and send them in asap. Two of you
get to be leader characters with 40 points to
distribute among your abilities (no more than +20 in
any ability) and the rest receives 30 points (no more
than +15 on ability). Leaders can be one of the
"People of Note" from Fronela (RQ Genertala Book,
pp10-20) if appropriate.

Obviously people like Harrek The Beserk, Sir Meriatan
etc are not appropriate.

Leader characters are assigned on a first-come,
first-served basis. Do your introduction quickly and
mention it.

First Scene
-----------

It was but a brave shepherd of the Kingdom of the
Jonatings who first found to stone-hut near the region
under The Ban. Although he could sense Power from
within, he entered and defeated the Guardian Spirit
within. Among the ruins he discovered a hitherto
unknown fragment of Kyrmon's Scroll which bore great
information pertaining to the troubles of Fronela. It
aid that a heroquester would meet with Gbaji The
Deceiver and form a Kingdom of War to herald his
return and only the knowledge of the Nameless Man
could prevent the greatest Chaos returning to Fronela.

The scroll was taken to Okarnia and from the Kingdom
of Jonatela heralds were sent far across East and West
Fronela, even to the Mostal of the Nidan Mountains and
the Elves of Winterwood and Erontree. So it was a
Council was hastily convened at the University of Sog
City to discuss the document form a Hero band to seek
the knowledge of the Nameless Man. 

The Kingdom of Loskalm sent two, as did Jonatela. The
Duchy of Junora sent one, as did the County of Timms,
and even one representative came with the agreement of
many from the Rathori and Uncolings. From among their
number the Janube states elected one, and Sog City had
its own. Finally, both the Mostal and the Aldryami
sent one of their number. Amd within the great chamber
of the University they began their plan.
