Kalen prepares for battles, speaking to his axe to do well in battle. He also pulls out his holy hand grenades and prepares to throw them at any attackers heading their way.

Subject: [HQ Ignorance] Scene 20: Giving the Dog a Bone
As Karala sighed with discontent with her capture and
the intransigence of her captors, she settled down for
what appeared to be a lengthy prison term. But it was
not to be, as Aalmon appeared at the door with Jareena
The Healer, Icthya and Karala's reindeer spirit. Their
eyes were distant, their speech was otherworldly and
an aura glowed around their bodies. Aalmon grunted
"Makla Man, we have come to rescue you from these
bounds of the Bright Empire, flee quickly whilst there
is time". For but a moment Karala was confused, but
she had seen a HeroQuester before, no less than Harrek
The Beserk when he slew the Polar Bear God. She
shuddered at the memory; hopefully her allies would
not be so infected with such madness.
She grasped Thaneora by the arm, half-dragging her
into the dim-light of The Den's Great Hall. There
Aalmon espied weapons of Derringos Pistoles and
thought, as Arkat Trollking would, that they would
make a fine addition to his weapons of war. As any
good troll would do, he drank heartily as he carried
out his theft and a wolf-pup played by his feet.
Outside Anzhur Sinnersbane and other members of the
Fellowship acted with subservience towards Aalmon;
incredibly, they had taken the role of trollkin! The
Fellowship took off at a rapid pace and Karala had to
use all her magics to keep up with them, as they had
the energy of the Gods to guide them. A glimmer of the
old Aalmon was present as he used his Star Magics to
create a glittering bridge far away from The Den. Yet
as the Fellowship embarked on their starry path, the
howls of dispossed and infuriated Telmori could be
heard. The nights and days passed in the twinkling of
the eye, as the escape path wound through woodlands,
over hill, and besides mountains.
How many days had passed they did not know; the only
member of the group that could keep time as a mortal
was Karala, and she estimated scores of days, and yet
hunger did not fatigue her whilst on the starry path.
Eventually the path came to an end. In the distance a
magnificant city of coloured glass spires could be
seen. It was Syran, considered by many the most
beautiful city on the shore of Lake Felster.
But beauty was not the first concern for those members
of the Fellowship. The twilight baying of the Telmori
was stronger than they had ever heard before. Crashing
through the woods they saw angry men and wolves with
red eyes. At least three score had managed to follow,
or receive missives from the fellows to set chase on
the Fellowship; for not only had they taken one of the
great relics of the Telmori, but they had also
absconded with the the great heretic. Aalmon ordered
the "Trollkin", Kalen Ironhand, Anzhur Sinnersbane and
The Beast to take position. They would hold off whilst
the others escaped and lived. The only question that
remained: How would they die? What songs of Power
would be sung of their deeds?
