Aalmon rode up to the dwarf whose expression was even more stony than 
usual and dismounted. "Kalen, I am sorry for your loss. Tell us how your 
people mark their passing and we will do what we can to see him off with 
all the honour we can muster."

After pausing for a moment in silence he strode over to Kerala and 
looked quizzically at her new-found companion. "So, Kerala, who is your 
new friend and why was it so important that we rescue her as well as 
yourself." He smiled at the Telmori woman "Its not that we mind in the 
least dear lady, I just have a curious mind and like to know why a 
person such as yourself needs rescuing, even if after the event."
