Aalmon checked his mount, a horse better chosen for speed than for the

defenceless." With these last words he unslung his long axe for the 
first time in the quest and the light of Starfire blazed along the 
strange star-metal of its blade.

"We should go now. Fare well."

OOC: Kalen has the pistols now if he wants them. Aalmon will lead the 
others away from the trouble in accordance with the myth, he is not 
really that strong in combat but with augments from his horse, magic and 
the axe itself he might be able to handle the odd wolf that gets past 
the rearguard.

If its any help there are some myths where the participants are supposed 
to "die" and it does them no real-world harm - the Heortling "I Fought 
We Won" being the classic example.
