[HQ Ignorance] Response of the High Llama and Grotarons

Initially the leader of the high llama riders looked
sternly at Kalen and especially at the Judge, his
cheeks growing red with evident anger. Then, of all a
sudden, he let his mouth open wide and gave a great
laugh. His men joined in, and then the Grotaron with
the deep belly rumbles.

"What times are these indeed?! I am used to Dwarves
asking for discounts, but one for all their friends as
well? And with an Elf as well? This must be an
important quest."

"So well met strongly spoken one, I am Akro, and we
are the tollbearers of the High Llama Pass. With our
great friends the Grotaron, we maintain only safe
passage from Fronela to Bad Deal and then on to
northern Ralios."

[Various introductions]

"We shall accept your discounted payment as suggested
by Azhur. We shall also take up the offer of Healing
by Jareena, if any are damaged on our journey.

On the journey towards Bad Deal, Karala befriended one
of the Grotaron, who was indeed very impressed with
the offer of carved antler. She was named Burrah, and
she said that the antlers reminded her of the carvings
from the sabre-toothed mountain mammoth, the sacred
animal of her people. She lamented that one had not
been seen for so many generations and she feared that
they may be no longer". 

The Grotaron are very amused by Icthya's offers, and
express their wish that they could particpate, however
Akro gave orders that they must not dally. Indeed,
they are absolutely fascinated by the concept,
especially if they could conduct one between woodland
and mountains simultaneously. They make a sincere
promise to take up the offer on a future encounter
when time is not so precious. Nevertheless they shared
many stories of the Green Age and especially of the
friendship between the Aldryami and the Grotaron of
the Maidstone Mountains.*
