After a little while, Icthya proposed a course of action.

"We could travel to speak with these wolf people who raised this Beast, find
out what they know, then head south via Ballid."

"First though, we could find out where those darkmen are from."

Like a drunk ready for a fight, Icthya lifted herself from her chair and
headed over to the darkmen. Aware that, at the very least, Dark Season is
when an elf should be least tasty to a troll, she went and sat among them
with no ceremony at all, to see if they had any information they would
impart to a morsel as tasty as she. At first, things got a little scary, but
then she sang the Mother Song, accompanied by Tanuki drumming his belly,
and...
