In reality, sorry, at first the player really didn't undestand that Icthya was female (language problem or lack of attention from me?), then I find it was a way to show how strange/alien/weird were elves to Azhur. Icthya isn't exactly what female means to him (where are Icthya's female attributes like large hips, generous breast, long and voluptious hair...), so he can't help thinking of her as merely a creature or even a thing... but "he" is better than "it".
Just make him the remark and he will probably improve.

For Talor's fellowship: 13+1 doesn't make 15 but 14.
