After a long and deep sleep, Azhur tried to collect his memories on their last meeting with the mad mystic of the telmori, while Othor was inspecting his wounds.
- “You’re good for a new set of scars, Master Azhur. You should learn to be more cautious before getting old or you will never get old.” said Othor after a while.
- “Hard fight, my friend, wasn’t it ?” answered the ex-knight half-smiling.
- “Yah, it remembers me the time we ambushed and caught Willy One-Eyed and his guys…”
Azhur laughed in complicity:
- “But Willy lost his last eye on your pike this night…”
- “And his life too, over bided Othor… but remember the reaction of his fellows? As crazy as the wolf men…and we ran, we ran… I’m still catching my breath today!”
- “ If we had known Sir Aalmond and his lunar tricks this night, we could have saved our breath…”
- “But not our money ! By Hrestol’s blessings, I fear to ruin you with my appetite, Master! But I can still go for an other breakfast...”
- “ So I do, Othor, so I do… let’s go to the common room and get something to eat with the rest of the fellowship.”
Azhur and Othor then joined the rest of the group, greeting each present member of the fellowship, but they didn’t spoke again until their bellies gave them a fair authorization for an other activity.
Azhur turned then to Aalmon:
- “Rider, my friend, I will never despise your pagan magic again… You saved all of us! And I will also listen more carefully to the Krjalki men of the night next time… These werewolves weren’t in a good mood. Do you think that the Master Dwarf Gulth knew what was going to happen with this foolish Mystic?
After a short thoughtful moment, he added:
- “At least, he gave us a mean to have a grip on Wilkairtha… there must be a HeroQuest to rescue him from his cursed existence and form… he can perhaps trade the Talor’s axe for help?
Turning his head in direction of the reindeer woman, Karaka, he finished:
- “Too bad, we didn’t succeed to have a longer conversation with the mystic… I’m curious about this story of Curse and Salvation between animal peoples… even if I understand more and more my family duties” he added while putting an hand on his sword.
[HRP] I like Lev's writing style... It keeps me waiting for the next one :-)

Objet : [HQ Ignorance] Scene 13: Escape and Capture!
Start: Wildday of Harmony Week, the 13th day of Sea
Season, 1622.
As the cries of Bors and the Bishop of Donarli fade
under the baying of the pack, the Telmori-wolves
charge forth towards rest of the Fellowship with
madness and death upon their lips; Icthya called upon
his fetish, A Moment Yearning, and the mighty centaur
with feet of stone, trampled and kicked the wolves, as
Icthya loosed arrows at the were-beasts. Aalmon the
Moonman called upon the Crimson Glow to provide an
escape route as Boras herded the group towards the
path so marked. Jareena followed quickly, as
Dorassa's and Da's javelin and thrown-axe struck true.
In contrast Karala-Walks-With-the-Great-Wolf
approached the Telmori, claiming to be their saviour -
and many wolves at the behest of the Mystic surrounded
them both, but did not attack. Anzhur tried his utmost
to come to the rescue, his battle cry freezing many of
the Telmori in place as his true silver sword swung
true. Three Telmori were felled by his blows, but
still others came eventually forcing him back, despite
his bravery, with a bite to the shin and claws to the
forearm. His squire Othor, also assisted like Boras.
Kalen The Mostal expressed confusion at the Telmori
attack, and joined the escape route upon the
star-route, but not before loosing a holy hand grenade
upon approaching Telmori, slaying three and wounding
one with its exposive shards of iron. But the escape
is good; the remains of the Fellowship took to the
star trail as it bathed them in crimson light,
apparently invisible to the mortal world, although
both shouts from the Mystic and the baying of the
Wolves indicated that they had a modicum of ability in
following the path.
The Star Walking magic carried the Fellowship for an
indeterminate period of time. Below, the ground seemed
hazy, as if viewed through a deep crimson glass that
was almost opaque. Brightness and darkness indicated
that days and nights had passed, althoug it seemed to
occur so quickly. Finally, the trail ended - the party
stepped off near a town and surrounding villages and
instantly felt extreme pangs of hunger and exhaustion
such like they had never felt before. Ravenous and
exhausted they sought the first public house they
could, ate like they hadn't done so for days, and fell
into a deep sleep. It was the following day that they
discerned that they were in the East Wilds of Railos,
near the town of Kilwin.
"The Star Walking path was called to take us away from
danger. Obviously, this is the cloest place that was
not under the rule of the Telmori or the Vustria."
End: Waterday, Death Week, the 18th day of Sea Season,
1622
Deadline: Monday 7th May
