As they journeyed across the Star Paths Aalmon maintained an almost
manic intensity, seeking out a safe haven for the group to return to.
When at last it was done and they were safe the gleam left his eyes and
he slumped down where he landed, until Baros gently lifted him up and
guided him to a more comfortable spot. As the group hungrily tore into
their first good food for days he sat sullenly in the corner and began
to empty a wineskin, occasionally looking round at their depleted
numbers and muttering to himself something about "Can't fight war with
war, can't not fight. Then what?". Baros, with a concerned look,
replenished his wineskin when it was finished but said little and could
not even be diverted by the sight of some comely local lasses.

The others slept deeply but strangers in the public house heard him
crying out from his fitful sleep words in a strange language, one of the
well travelled merchants laughing explained to the assorted tinkers and
drovers it was something about "we came to talk, we came in peace" but
nobody thought much more of it.

The next day he seemed a little distant from the others and looked the
worse for wear but he went back about his business of checking the
harness and tack, the routine tasks seeming to help with his troubles.

Do you think that the Master Dwarf Gulth knew what was going to happen with this foolish Mystic?

Aalmon shrugged, "Thank you, although you only call it pagan because
some bishop or other told you to." He carries on polishing the harness
for a while then turns to Azhur again "You are well educated, do you
know the story of when Saint Talor rescued Makla Mann. I wonder if we
could live that story to pull our fellowship back together?"

OOC: I am of course making this up as I go along.
Lev, that is written as if Aalmon has to face a challenge from the All
as a result of what has gone on, it is of course up to you whether you
want to bother with that.
Lastly, have we confirmed that Kerala is now separated from the rest of
the group?
