Bowing respectfully to Estevan, Karala recounted again the story of
her orphaning and the gaining of her Protecter..
"Great King of the Predator People, while I can offer no more sure
knowledge of what these events mean, I have been observing your
people these last few days, and I think I might have an
Understanding. The Truth of it stirs inside me, spirits whisper just
out of my hearing, tangled threads of seem almost ready to knot...
Your People, like mine, are the children of Hykym and Mykya. We live
by the cycles and rhythms of Nature and the wild, and I know this,
your people have a hate in them that is not natural. You are
Predators true enough, but the wolf does not hate the fawn or the
calf. It kills to eat, no more. I saw the hate and malice in your
Mystic who attacked my Fellowship, a Fellowship who represent every
nation and species who hold the Rune of Man in Fronela. I saw how,
when your People by chance encountered some Dragon-kin, you attacked
without mercy.
We are on a desperate mission to save all humanity from the growing
evil that is the Kingdom of War, a violent, vicious blight on the
face of Glorantha that would rape and murder all descendants of our
Grandfather Mortal, who would set fire to the world and drown it in
blood. What will you do when the fire and the axe come here to your
lands? Will you let your hate and bitterness consume you and join the
evil? Would you wreck revenge on all those you hate (who seem many
indeed) and in so doing, destroy all?
Or would you conquer the hate that eats at your hearts and stand with
the rest of world who would oppose its very destruction? I say to
you, put aside the darkness that has grown and festered in your
hearts, and redeem yourselves with deeds bold and brave in the
service of all Mankind!
Join us! Help us! Stand against the evil that seeks to undo all Life
and in so doing, stand against the evil in your souls: for their, I
believe, lies the cure to your Curse. The evil comes not, ultimately
from Without - those you have chosen to blame, but from Within, and
by helping us, I offer you the chance to cure and redeem yourselves!"
With this, Karala meekly bows her head and awaits the Wolf Kings
reaction.
OOC: Same bunch of persuasive skills I used earlier if needed, plus
I'll throw as many Hero Points at any persuasion contest that I can...
