Thanks Erica :-)
A wee river fish (a brown trout if you must know)
chats to Icthya. With a simple success result, the
fish knows that there are several cave entrances
underneath the cliff and a tunnel underneath the dock.
Being a fish, it wasn't even aware that there was a
castle on top of it.
According to Kalen this probably suggests that the
river water enters th tunnel by the docks and is
accessed by the well. "A very deep well indeed", he
says gruffly. "Quite a wonder of engineering; probably
about 80 yards deep! I wonder what they keep in
there?" (A simple success from Kalen's knowledge that
normally a well that deep holds more than just water!)
There is less luck from the birds and plants (again
simple successes). The birds say that there seems to
be magics preventing them from accessing the grains,
although if they can fly around the castle without
ill-intent, every time they've tried to get grains
from the granary, it is like they've been struck by an
invisible force. At this point they start debating a
legend of one bird who apparently kept going, but
exploded.
