Anzhur left the festivities early and retired to his
allocated room. Ever faithful, his squire Othor
checked to see his lord required any assistance before
he too took rest for the eve. He perceived distance in
his lord, and it troubled him. Clearly the Quest had
weighed carried a great burden on his soul and heavily
upon him.

"Faithful servant", Anzhur spake wearily, "bring me
the Red Banner of Valour, once carried by Zorscam,
Companion of the Laughing Warrior".

Othor sighed, but carried out his master's wishes.
"Too often he gazes into the banner", he muttered to
himself. "It is like he is attempting to to take
flight from the world". Nevertheless he returned with
the banner and gave his leave.

Anzhur watched into the banner, thinking of the
description of the battle between Zorscam and by the
werewolf Wilkairtha from the scroll he read in the
Church of St. Humact in the City of Glass and Bronze.
He let his thoughts drift as he watched the ancient
letters on the red standard. What would they reveal,
he wondered. Under possible circumstances would the
werewolf Wilkairtha join the fellowship and the return
the Axe of the Laughing Warrior?

As Anzhur drifted off to sleep he thought deeply about
the Curse and the Telmori, of the failed experiment in
Arkat's kingdom that created Wilkairtha and the
message of Krymon's Scroll. The battle of the Zorscam
and Wilkairtha was played over and over again in his
mind until he felt that he was there himself. The
Curse imposed on the Telmori by the Laughing Warrior
was also replayed; as was the strange rituat that led
to the creation Wilkairtha.

Wilkairtha was a leader of the Telmori; he fought for
many years throughout Seshnela ravaging the dying
strongholds of the God Learners, before being driven
into the forests. Driven from many people's only the
Telmori were accepting or strong enough to include him
among their people. He seemed motivated by revenge on
one hand, but also with a loyalty to those who, like
him, were cursed to carry multiple forms within their
being. Perhaps if he wished to be the saviour of the
Telmori but knew not how? But how would it ever be
possible for one who had direct lineage to the Curse
to convince such a being that this time they would be
acting in his best interests?
