Icthya carefully ignores Kalen's reference to this infernal machine he calls
a clock, blocking all thoughts of such a device from her mind, lest she
become polluted by such an outrageous concept.
She explains to her companion that she needs to remove something rotten from
the centre of this city, something which is corrupting the entire land and
preventing her from finishing the fixing of this land which she has
undertaken. She further explains that she has decided to perform this task
in order to obtain allies for them when they seek out the strange creature
known as Wilkairtha. She doesn't quite mention that the task at hand is an
assassination but carefully uses works such as 'fix' and 'broken': she
thinks she has an inkling how dwarves tick.
"Are you with me?" she asks.
