My apologies, I did wrap it up rather quickly. But I
there were some good reasons for it!

The Telmori attack absolutely shattered the force of
mercenaries that were looting the inner Segurane City.
However they also came into conflict with the force of
Beastmen et al that had been led by Aalmon. Whilst the
mercenaries were in much greater number the the
Beastmen and the latter were more than familiar with
the Telmori going wild there was still some "friendly
fire casulties". But no doubt about it, the two
thousand plus mercenaries that were in the inner city
were totally and utterly taken apart.

(Speaking of which, 'off-camera', Reinhaart and his
group took one look at what was going on once in view
of Seguarane and turned southwards. "No point in
losing all these well-gained wages", he was reported
as saying...)

With regards to the Vampires a number of them had
already been dealt with in previous encounters.
However, when they decided to flee from the dungeons
of Seguarane they were pretty much unprepared for both
the volleys of crossbows from Kalen's force of Iron
Dwarves but even more so Karala's Fire Spirits. The
latter wrecked extreme havoc among their forces with
only a handful managing to escape. I should also
mention that rebinding the Fire Spirits was
unproblematic.

If Karala hadn't brought the werewolves into inner
Segurane there is no doubt that Aalmon wouldn't be
alive. Also, it would have made the eventual exit from
the dungeons very difficult indeed. Finally, if Karala
hadn't released the Fire Spirits a significant force
of Vampires would have escaped which would have
probably been a serious problem for years to come.
