Some further thinkings...
I put "Elected King of Seshnela" as a relationship on Azhur's PC sheet.
If I understand well this defines Azhur as the local "boss" and measure by the value the strengh of his grip on the seshnelan nation or at least on the local royal house.
The current value is 14, which is not so much to call up the noble houses of Seshnela to go to war in a crusade, especially if no clear threat is at the horizon (I suppose that external conditions may modify at lot this value), but it could be enough to command a castle servant at the court.
As I see it, anytime that Azhur will do something that could have a positive political impact on this position (for example, officially visiting foreign countries, making famous allies, solve political problems...), he may be allowed to put HP in this relationship to raise it at a normal cost.
Is it correct ?
Other questions for Lev:
1. Aarolin, Knight of the Southern Army of the Kingdom of Seshnela was found before the battle of Segurane and participate with us in the Hrestoli Heroquest to convert the city (I spent 1 HP to make him appear). Did he survive the battle? If yes, will he put his sword at the service of the new king?
2. In a previous old message (15 february 2007), I sent a description of the New Hrestoli Battle Seers Chapter (description cut-and-paste below).
Azhur is a quite powerless liturgist of this order without a congregation, far away from home but, surprise, surprise, he was recently elected king of Seshnela after a miraculous conversion of the rokari church confrontated to a boristi schism...
A religious concern is probably that he didn't pass the test to become such a temporal lord but the political issue is that he may certainly become a great ally of Loskalm in its fight against the Kingdom of War (after all, didn't he pledge to quest for Talor's Weapons?).
Probably in Loskalm, there is currently some discussions between political and religious authorities with diverging points of view (with certainly a Lord Daymare, a direct descendant of Zorscam the companion of Talor and Arkat, and currently a local leader of a secret arkati heresy, lobbying for his own interests...).
The Loskalm kingdom and the Battle Seer Chapter will probably want to have a closer look on this unknown liturgist, ex-knight of a small chivalrous order, but born in a famous noble House (ability "Famous House Daymare" at 13)...
There must be also something between Lord Daymare and the Battle Seers Chapter as Lord Daymare has something quite important to hide while the Order is quite able to discover his secret. Paradoxically Lord Daymare accepted that one of his own sons, while knowing his secret, joined the order.
Are both powers playing a secret game of influence? Are they cooperating secret allies? Is Lord Daymare trying to infiltrate this order with dangerous inquistorial powers or is the order blackmailing Lord Daymare?
Just married, committed to the quest and to Seshnela future, Azhur don't care anymore about these questions, but could this statu-quo continues forever now that Azhur is on the diplomatic scene? Will Loskalm be able to send a delegation before Azhur sails to the Far-East? A boat with a Battle Seer on board could be quite sure and fast, so if the preparations of the fellowship last just a little, is it reasonable to think that a meeting may happen?
Well in fact, it's a lot of questions... :-)

Battle Seers Chapter:
-------------------------------
The Battle Seers Chapter is a very old wizardry school linked to the oldest hrestoli tradition, more based on intuition than pure logic. Eusebius the Old was the primary fonder but additional understandings on enhancement of instantaneous deductions and observations having been added through the ages. Its mission today is to give wise and clear sighted military advisors to the Lord Caste.
By the way, using techniques outside the typical western logic and the reasoning, it is said that the most advanced teaching of this school goes up to the limit of some of the old perfecti mystic understandings of the world.
The motto of this school is “Present is the Tree born from the seeds of Past, bearing the fruits of Future”.
So students are encouraged to learn from the Past to understand the Present and to use magic to determine the most probable event.
Entry Requirements : Open only to people of some military background
Homeland : Fronela in general and specially in Loskalm Kingdom
Abilities: Understand the situation, Know Battle Seers, Rule of the Battle Seers, Create Portal of Power, Military advising, Symbolic Sight
Relationships : Member of the Battle Seers Chapter
Virtues : Intuitive, Deductive
Grimoires:
First book of Revelations: Visions
- Projected View
- See Where I Was Before
- See Without Light
- See Also Behind
- See Through Walls
- Distinguish Details
- See With Other Eyes
- Sky View of the World
Second Book of Revelations : Guesses
- Choose the Best Path
- Choose the Best Words
- Choose the Best Weapon
- Choose the Best Tactic
- Choose the Best Ballistic
- Choose the Best Strategy
Third Book of Revelations : Battles
- Feel Others’ Mood
- Know Next Action
- Know Next Words
- Know next thoughts
- Improve parry
- Improve strike
Talismans: The Battle seers favor Crystal Balls, Mirrors, and Glasses for talismans
Other Side: The Prominence is a node of keen observation and dispassionate deduction on the Founder plane.
Disadvantages: Because it is difficult to keep a secret with a Battle Seer in action, Lords tend to avoid them when they have dishonorable intentions…

Spend Hero Points and establish a Relationship with
both Marianne and with the Kingdom of Seshnela.
Keep in mind it is the ability rating, not the title,
which is important in HeroQuest.
You can have the title 'King of Seshnela', but unless
you're prepared to spend a royal amount of Hero Points
in the ability, you're likely to be a titular head at
best.
Does that make sense?
