Er, I haven't access to the Magic Book at the moment. It's that table
thingy on...ummm...one of the pages. In the animism chapter I think.
It's the same table Nic and I used last time we bought spirits. The
rating is just a d20 roll :) I don't really trust myself to do that,
though.

If you don't want to allow it, I have no problem with that at all. If
you do, though, I am happy to take a load of restrictions to it. That
is supposed to be the idea of animism after all - potential power but
complications.

Yeah. I kinda like. It is a bit Aalmon, though.
Maybe just "Calm" - I'd be worried that calm Spirits would be very restrictive.
