My guess is that we should use the uncertainty against him for as long
as possible and then use the defences until late afternoon. Once the sun
starts getting low its time to sally out and offer battle - from the
West so the Telmori can do their thing. I'm not sure how you would
prepare for that other than my next comment below.

Any chance of making a finding/clearing about 100-200 meters wide. Just
wide enough for our main force but too narrow for the numerically
superior opponents to overlap the flanks. (Look up the battle of Watling
Street if you want to know how influential some trees can be on a
battle). If the trees on either side have Aldryami in then dismounted
knights could hold out for a long time even against those numbers.

Aalmon's main tactic will be along those lines, either to force
Throblanc to repeatedly regroup or to make him leave some of his
throwaway forces behind milling around uselessly. By late afternoon I
suspect the skirmishers will be tired, dispersed and pretty much done as
a military force but I'm hoping to have the archers take out a decent
number of those commanding the lesser undead so as to render them a lot
less usable.

I think that is Azhur's job. How much money is in the city treasury,
does anyone know? Bribing mercenaries was a standard part of medieval
warfare, although that might be hard if they have Theoblanc's elites
right behind them at the time.
