Aalmon turns and follows Knarl, for a moment the scene is transformed in
his mind into a giant chessboard and he thinks to himself "We need a few
more white pieces after this night"

As the pair slip away he speaks to the Telmori "I think you should get
word back to your people. It looks like I have business in the city,
someone must let them know that something deeply darkly wicked is coming
their way and its going to be hungry by the time it reaches them. When
we cross water I will try to use my magic to travel there as quickly as
I can and catch up with the others of my group. If you see the elf-woman
ask her if to defeat this evil the plant people are willing to sacrifice
part of their new forest, I do not think water alone will suffice
anymore but such evil magics might be at least a little vulnerable to
certain fires I know of."

He pauses for a moment and closes his eyes, inside his mind he tries to
feel for their guardian and let it know that he is coming to meet its
carrier.

OOC: I think Aalmon is done here, if all the leaders are exhausted its
their best moment to slip away. Once they are clear Aalmon will try to
find some stars reflected in water and then use his Star Walking to step
across to the same stars reflected near the city. I'm not sure what the
distances involved are but as its the full moon he should have a decent
chance of pulling this particular magical trick off - although all that
really matters is that he is trying to get there to help with the task
of persuasion now that he is a direct eye-witness of the evils unfolding.
