Following the twisting and turning of a silver amulet dangling from his
hand Aalmon traces his way back to where he had left his clothes - and
the owners of the ones he was wearing.
As he pulled on his own familiar travelling gear Aalmon looked over at
the bound[1] footsoldiers and pondered. Finally dressed he walked over
to them "I'd take both of you with me if I could but I'm only strong
enough for one." He pulled up the one who had given him the password and
checked the ropes and leathers that bound him, then to the other he
spoke again "If I were you I'd work at getting free by daylight and then
head for home as fast as your legs can take you. I've seen with my own
eyes what's going on down there and being thrown to the vampires like a
scrap of meat to the dogs is a worse fate than any man deserves."
Having checked that the other man is secure he hauls him up onto his
shoulder and sets off "You had better sit tight up there my friend, this
is going to get a bit strange and if you fall off in the middle of it
you are really going to wish you hadn't". Nod if all your stuff with
sentimental value is in your purse - don't want to leave anything behind
that you will miss too much.
Finding a patch of water the Arrolian began to work his strange magics.
First he whispered a prayer to keep him on the right path, then taking
out the amulet once again he spoke a supplication "The banner is lost to
me, spirit of the moon aid me in seeking out what I must find" at which
the amulet seemed to twist and pull in his hand as if leading him on. He
gazed down at the reflected stars in the water and his eyes traced a
path across them, then he took a deep breath and unleashed the planetary
powers of the twins themselves - a nimbus of crimson seemed to settle
about him as he took his first step out onto one of the reflected stars.
Each step in his odd hopscotch was as far apart as the stars are apart
in the sky and to any but himself and his astonished prisoner he
appeared as a crimson blur or a reddish shooting star.
Finally he stopped far from where he had started and looked to the
amulet again "well friend, the banner should be close now"
OOC: Its the full moon and he can't resist a bit of flashy magic. I
would think there is about a W3 penalty to the magic for distance but on
the full moon his Star Walking is up to it and he has around +11 or so
in augments. If he needs to spend a HP to get there in time he will.
Lev, although Aalmon spent 6HP on his Find Lost Item charm we never put
a specific rating on it. Can we assume its in the middle of the range or
do you want to specify a rating?
[1] For the sake of clarity that means bound and gagged. And all foci,
amulets and religious symbols definitely removed.
