Well, seeming that the book on Elves was written by
Shannon Applecline, I'd hope it would be good. Even if
the title is "Elfs" rather than "Elves" :-)

But in answer to your question, this is good plot
device and won't cost any HP because it's so good.
Icthya can get some runners to collect some copper
leaves, and copper vines.
