So Azhur will get a private conversation with him (an heretic initiative from him probably, see below)

Yes!!!! "Cross to the other side" is the most difficult point.

So taking into account the time they get to accomplish their own mission, Azhur and friends have probably a little time in front of them, perhaps a few hours...

Then Azhur will conduct a ceremony.
1. Try to get a blessing form his hrestoli scripture 
=> Use Scripture “First truth” at 13 (which augmentation is possible there ?)
to get the most approriate blessing like "Find peace" or "Renew Faith", if it succeed Azhur get a very useful +1 bonus for a week

2. Have this very short ritual with a one or two hours of SURE practice HQ, ritually repetiting the future real debate with Aarolin.. after all this can lead to a +3 or +6 in the "convincing others" skill for Azhur (just appropriate place and items seems already to give an easy +10 for this ritual)

3. After getting possible convincing bonus, Azhur will have a private discussion with Rotterex about his thinkings on his afterlife.
He is a conscious being, a sorcery creation, so he should have an essence.
If Rokari are right, he is nothing more and his essence will dissipate when he will die.
If Hrestoli are right, every essence could be seen as equally sacred and could be saved from oblivion (and if New Hrestoli Church's credo desagrees on the point... then Azhur can become heretic on this point... he has his own credo by now... and his father is already an heretic ;-)

=> So Rotterex better has to support Azhur's initiative. Because he is honest, caring for his own specie and probably could hope for Solace if he cares to... and what is more important than afterlife?
Interested conclusion : If Rotterex supports Azhur and Azhur wins, he will have done a good action and Azhur will be in a position where he could baptize him, perhaps secretly in the beginning but this is better than nothing (if this is an heretic move for a hrestoli, Azhur will do it anyway).
Rotterex and his people can help Azhur by disturbing his adversaries during the debate or threat them (after all, rats ate their king alive and God didn't save him... this can lead to very visual evocation of Sinners punishment...)


Other questions:

If activated at the right moment, could Azhur:
1. Use Scripture “Saint Talor’s Red banner” : Joyous Fighting at 13
to get a bonus of +1 by being a joyous debator inspired by Saint Talor (could be a good contrast with stern negative god-fearing Rokari, and an attractive alternative for the undecided)

2. Use the Sparrawhawk order’s spell “find courage to attack bigger than self” at 17
It could be useful to get the courage to go in a debate alone against a full major church ?
(and get a +2 bonus?)
