OK Kalen, with Icthya's copper arrows you can beat
some wire into shape (resistance 6, roll 17 vs your
craft metal at 19, roll 18), perfect to act as a
conduit for Mostal magic. Taking down some trees with
your axe and augmented by Baros, your Chop Trees
spell, Icthya's beaver summoning and talking to the
trees (1W1+2+2+2 = 9W1, roll 15 bump to success vs
reduced resistance of 6, roll 8) you set them up to
block the damned dam :-)

The pièce de résistance however is the appropriately
located Holy Hand Grenade. Although an Iron Dwarf,
Kalen does know a modicum of engineering and
construction, all dwarves do (17 Mostal Culture,
modified by previous successes as augments +2, +2 =
1W1 roll 1(!) (critical success, plus one bump!!),
versus resistance of 14, roll 16, marginal failure)
indicating that Kalen has established a damn with a
trigger system and a holy hand grenade placed exactly
in the right place to flood the area where the four
river courses meet in front of Seguarane.

Nice work :-)

After this Kalen, Icthya and Baros can make it back to
Seguarane in time for the rest of the Fellowship to
enter Seguarane city and meet up with the others.
