Karala is impressed by the open power that the women of this strange land
wield (thinking of the proud Stags of her own tribe), although the ways here
are more familiar to her than those of the "civilised" sorcerous neighbours
of her homeland. She exchanges knowledge of events in the West to this coven
of wise women and descibes her quest to the East on the off-chance that
these matriarchs might have some information that may help. Karala also
enquires about the Wolf-men of Dragon Pass (seeking a more magical
perspecrive than Knarl could supply) - looking for clues or wisdom that
might help her discover how to lift the Cursr that afflicts them.

On a more professional note, Karala seeks knowlege of the spirits of the
Earth that this land is famed for, and is happy to share her spirit-ken with
these women in exchange. Also, trapped for such long time with with the
small Fellowship in the stuffy, male-oppressed land of Malkion the Stern,
Karala wonders where, in this land where women are strong, a girl can go and
have some fun...
