Aalmon, recollecting the original chess-game,
dismounts for a moments and pulls the pieces out of
his pack. He displays them in front of Kalen and
quizzical onlookers.
"This", he points out, "is where the remaining
skeletons and zombies are. The path of the western
mercenaries will be along these squares, which should
make them easy to avoid", he said smiling.
"And here is Anzhur, fighting within the inner keep of
the city itself. Hopefully Jareena's hands aren't too
full at the moment. Over here, on the top right, is
where Knarl and Karala are - the Curse should just be
affecting them about now. I'd like to hope that Karala
is moving away as soon as possible."
"But where is that Black King?", he muttered
frustrated.
