The word ‘Pirates’ reminded Azhur of Loskalm about the terrible vadruli pagans who plagued the coasts of his country before a great system of naval protection chased them away. Fearsome stories have been told on these Wolf-Pirates and Azhur always feared that they would join the Kingdom of War one day.
Being not a sailor, Azhur remained silent, feeling worthless, haunted by the nostalgia of his country, family and now, new addition to his burden, his lovely wife, Lady Marianne of Gilboch, new queen of Seshnela. Every night during the trip, he faithfully glanced the tiny star given by his friend Aalmon, in hope that the magic will work and send the message that he was carrying about her. He missed Aalmon too. Even if the rider had become quite difficult after his weird brother’s death, his conversation was always interesting with disturbing concepts. Azhur was never sure to understand them all, but since Death put a grip on him, Aalmon’s presence had been a relief for him.
Azhur faced his doubts and though “Duty, Chivalry and Equality is my credo! I must stay on that. I’ve got a duty and peoples count on me!”.
He called Othor, with whom shared the memories of his youth and his country.
- “Othor, my loyal battle squire, please look after BackMane, my war stallion, and make sure that he will in good shape when we will finally reach some solid land.”
He called SwordSinger with whom he shared somewhat the mysterious experience of Death.
- “ SwordSinger, my trusted sword trainer, please look after the Beast, I fear that the trollkin is hiding somewhere in the boat, crushed by terror.”
He called the knight Aarolin with whom he shared the duty to protect the land of Seshnela.
- “Knight Aarolin, dear defender of the crown, keep an eye with me on the horizon, the last thing we need is a meeting with the pirates of Smelch!”

[OOC]
Funny it remind me one of my old RQ PC : Glem the Smileless, follower of Humakt, pirate of Smelch for a while, a reward was offered for his head by the Pharaoh before he went to Pamaltela and build a kingdom in a kind of Joseph Conrad 's Heart of Darkness place. Let's pray we will not face him. The guy was convinced to be the Hand of Death itself. :-D

So... shall I just have the pirates of Smelch capture
you all, or is someone going to take precautions? ;-)

(I'm looking at you Godlearner, you're the one with
some sailing/navigation skills in the group)

Lev (gently prodding new roleplayers to take the plot
initiative and see how far they can push it..)
