The full moon already drives them into a crazed frenzy. The full moon 
effect of the glow-spot might be pretty much business as usual for them 
(plus anyone you hit with the axe, only they are not used to it).

Personally I'd have just skirmished long enough to bog the Lunars down 
and then scarper to leave them with a hungry unfed bat too slow to 
overtake anything but lumbering hoplites to worry about but if you guys 
and girls can bring it down I'll be well impressed ;-)
