Having called on him
the joyous blessings of Saint Talor to find the strength to come back in the
battle, Azhur was leading the defense of his death-brother Kalen the Mostali.
When the acidic tentacles sprouted from the mouth of the giant demon, the
elected king of Seshnela sniggered:
- “What? Just six of
them? Couldn’t you do better than that? Perhaps are you perturbed by a little
tickling pest?” 


But a slimy amorphous
worm-like thing turned around him, trying to catch him by the waist, the heavy
rider giggled while waving his true silver sword:
- “No, Moonson’s
bitch! I will not accept you invitation to dinner! We are battling you know,
not flirting! You have a very tempting mouth but your breath is too foul to be
the one of a fair maiden!”
 
As the tentacle was
tightening around his arms and neck, trying to extract him from his charger’s
war harness, he roared, laughing in a quite vulgar loskalmi language:
- “I also do not
dance! I’m a married guy, you know! Don’t insist or I will have to be more
abrupt with you! You already have a cohort of quite ugly men apparently very
busy on your bump, so forget me! Our love is impossible I told y… ”

The last sarcasm died
in his throat as the tentacle was choking him in his heavy armor. Silenced the
ex-knight pushed on both spurs to throw his charger to the gallop. The left
hand desperately gripping the war saddle, the right one still waving his sword
to cut off the tentacle now tightened between the crimson bat’s mouth and the
rider like a successful fishing line. Azhur’s last conscious thought was to
bless his father as a strange last memory came to him: the day when his father
offered him his heavy war battle and riding gear, now probably torn, crush,
burn and corroded by the malign exudations of the Red Moon Goddess’s own mount,
but still protected him...

- True Silver SWord 20/+2 (to cut the tentacle with an enchanted weapon)

Let's not forget that's Azhur a heavy western plate.
