Azhur surrounded by his followers, looked
down to the Sun Domers and after translation commented:
- "Which confirms a lot on the ways of these Moon-worshippers , they
seems to be the direct heirs of the ancient priests of Gabji’s empire. Be
warned and next time think twice, you who display so fancifully the Truth Rune!
In the past, Arkat the Destroyer didn’t deal very tactfully with the allies of
the Deceiver, and so could be the answer of the Universe in the future..."
Azhur turned then on his men:
- "This place is worst battleground I have
ever seen. Whatever after-life exists, I wonder how its superior forces will
sort the souls they own… but for now, our task is to care about the living ones.
Swordsinger, please, find Jareena and all those of your and her kind and sort
with them who will deserve healing and who will deserve a charitable last... blow.
On this last word, Azhur’s mouth folded
sadly, but he continued.
- “My opinion is that anyone but the Bat
priests should receive equal treatment, but you know Jareena, she will no
listen to any of my advices so let her do as she wants, she will do well.”
And after a second though:
- “Or perhaps she will prefer to spend some
time with this weird wonder around the body of this rebel female. Aarolin, try
to find Master Rikku and see if he can dispel the ice around her.”
On this, the elected King of New Seshnela turned
his head around, visibly looking for something or someone and added in his
native language to his squire:
- “Othor, stay near me, I don’t trust
anyone when Gabji magic is involved. We must find if King Broyan is still alive
and still capable to be in charge... and please hold high the Banner of Red Valor,
seeing it waving in the wind rejoice my heart!”

Objet : [HQ Ignorance] Scene 88: Heortland Spring
The cold of the north is now held in check with the fresh breath of
Orlanth. The Sun Dome templars, almost apologetic, explain how
their
contract with the Lunars was on the provisio that chaos would
not be
induced - and yet they brought the Crimson Bat.
Rotterex limps slightly, but grumpily complains any attention
made
towards him. "There is far worse about". And what the heroic
rubble
runner says is true; all about the field are the bodies of the
dead and
the near dead; the walking wounded and those too wounded to
walk. Who
shall the victors help? Their own kind? The neutral Templars?
Their
enemy? The chaotic Telmori? The blood of the wounded spills upon
the
ground and the earth seems to soak it up greedily, melting the
deathly
ice.
A cry is heard from the rear; the original member of the Iron
Ring who
brought you here, Minaryth The Purple, calls you over. Trapped
within a
block of ice, almost in suspended animation, is the corpus of
Kallyr
Starbrow, leader of the Orlanthi uprising.
PS: In answer to your question Loran, yes Hero Points can be
spent,
singularly and collectively, to improving the Banner's
abilities; just
like setting it up as the group's Guardian in the first place.
Others
(like Rikku) can add to it as well.
