Aalmon looked up at the roof and thought to himself that it was at least
attractive enough to look at - and probably far less annoying to deal
with than some of the members of his own fellowship. Rubbing his
talisman for good luck - and a helpful nudge of communications magic -
he spoke.
"I thank you for your hospitality and for the help Ariak and his family
gave us in bringing us here.
I am Aalmon of the city of Riverjoin, my companion is the lady Icthya of
the Erontree forest. We have travelled from our homes in the far West
together because of prophesies of a great doom that War will bring to
all lands. We have taken counsel from the ghost of the First Man who
told us that what we must do to avoid the destruction of the world is to
seek out the current holders of three weapons of antiquity. He said for
news of the greatsword we should ask Mrs Flint. So here we are, here to
ask for news of a greatsword once wielded in the company of Talor the
Laughing Warrior in order that we can continue with our quest to try to
save the world from a certain doom."
