- "To avoid war, Azhur answers to the young man calmly with a soft voice, I would need to understand the real interests and needs of the two opposing parties. Can anyone explain me Lord Lei Tse's wish to take an Iron Fort by force when he hasn't enough resources to do it? Technics and tactics aren't all, a lever isn't useful without enough strength to push on it... and even with treachery, it won't be easy..."
Sitting in front of his dinner, he adds:
- "I'm a foreigner here... I still don't understand how conquering a military position will give to local nobility a mean to re-enter the Kralorelan Empire. Everywhere I went, defying the arch-authority was just the better way to receive a brutal, swift and final retribution... unless you take the power for yourself. in such case, negociation was always a better option to my eyes..."
He raises his eyes on the face of the servant trying to judge his expression.
" Could the people of Yao Fune enlightens me there?"

Rotterex makes his way back to Kalen's quarters the following day, and
passes the map to his old friend the Mostal. "King Azhur thought you
might find this useful." Interestingly, Kalen does note some
Mostal-inspired design in the location and shape of the Black Fort...
Later that evening, Azhur, as he struggles through the various military
possibilities for an assault on the Black Fort sighs. There simply isn't
enough soldiers in Lei Tabor to defeat one of the iron forts.
The guards at his door let in a young man of mixed descent bearing a
plate of fruits and meats. "Your dinner, King Azhur", he says with a
very thick accent. His voice drops. "The magus Faust sends his regards
and says he is your servant and..", glancing behind him for a moment,
".. so do the people of Yao Fune. We trust you will be able to avoid
conflict."
Just a reminder on who is where:
Blue Moon: Aalmon and Icthya
Lei Tabor Slaves: Azhur, Othor and Aarolin, Kalen and Rotterex, Jareena
and Da, Karala-Who-Walks-With-White-Wolf, and Eurynome
Lei Tabor Honoured Guests: Rikku, Serendipitous Seeker, Isma,
Swordsinger, Dorassa
