There is a very audible hiss and drawing of breath when the Seeker
announces the Godlearner, which stops as soon as the officer turns to
confront the noisemakers.

"And what would you be your preferred torture for the Godlearner?", the
officer asks matter-of-factly. "Are you keeping him for a future
spectacle, such as the death of one-thousand-cuts? Perhaps we could
begin the process and with a flaying of the skin from the face?"
