OOC: OK, this is an attempt to find a good ambush spot to attack the
Krashkids - and you've used entirely new augments as well. So that's 13
+3+3 = 19. The resistance is a little higher than usual, as these
critters use abnormal senses, an additional +5 to a base default of 19
as well. You roll 16, they roll 8 - that's a marginal victory for the
forces of Chaos, although both sides achieved a success.
Aalmon skirts along the edge of Hell's Crack trying to find a good point
by which he can launch a surprise attack against these Chaotic mouths.
In many other circumstances this would be a fair situation; but not here
and now. The messenger found a ledge point which he could see both the
continuing battle and had a good view of the drop further down. For just
a moment he thinks he sees a flick of a lizard tail in the darkness,
further down the crack. Shaking his head he realises he's been noticed.
One of the krashkids spies him....
OOC: The Fourth continues to attack with Swordstaff 5W2, but changes the
augment to Throw 10W (+6). With a roll of 4 that's a critical success
with two bumps. The Krashtkids have Shell 14; roll 6, a success bumped
down to a failure, and a critical failure. Meanwhile the attacks of the
other three are normal attacks on the Aldryami at 0 with 2W; roll 12, 3,
13, all successes.
Meanwhile the Aldryami and The Fourth continue to fight the group that
they are with - or at least the latter. The martial arts of The Fourth
again prove valuable; flicking one of the creatures over the edge down
into the crack, it's horrendous squeals echoing throughout the chamber.
The other three however continue to chew into the Aldryami, whose body
is now covered in elven sap. It is hard to tell, but the body appears to
go limp; and the Krashtkid's flee through the tunnels whence they came.
As Aalmon comes down from his secure spot he looks at the Elf. A cursory
glance indicates a weak breath - still alive! But covered in strange
resin of the chaos mouthers.
"They ain't paying us enough for this, man" mutters The Fourth
