When Azhur heard the translations of the General Han Sui's comments, he felt a great empathy with the desoriented officer.
He was also curious to see Serendipitous Seeker's reaction because since the dragonewt joined the Fellowship, he wondered a lot about the reasons behind this presence. Did the dragonewt cared about the Kingdom of War or was he aware about some unknown evolution pushing the dragonkin races?
He adressed to the dragonewt with very closely chosen words:
- "When the heroplane magic severed me from my most precious jewel, I was left ruined and I still feel this mourning pain today. To survive, I had to review what was left and then I decided to stick to my duty, even if the pure joy to act was dead. Depending on what General Han Sui feels as his own duty, we can perhaps help him. First because the Fellowship and him can found common interests, second because if personnally, I don't want to support some ambitious villain in silk robes, I feel compelled by an honorable officer looking for a way to serve his nation. With his help, we can destroy the threat from Lei Tse's wishes in Lei Tabor. This will help the Fellowship to regain its freedom and perhaps to discover a Talor's sacred weapon, but this will also relieve General Han Sui's burden from his current border duty, perhaps also permitting him to act for a superior cause... After the Yao Fune's Flail, the Fellowship will have to go to
the Blue Moon Plateau, but perhaps the quickest way isn't the shortest way as we already have experienced. I suspect that Rikku will want to know more about the Sunstorm and of course I don't know about the Dragonmen commitments toward the kralorelan Empire... and their Draconic Emperor, even gone away..."
Then Azhur sighed, will he never travel back, in the direction of his queen ?

"All my life I have followed the Emperor. It is natural and right. But
now there is no Emperor. And the Emperor showed no care when the Can Shu
invaded, when pirates invaded, when barbarians attacked our
civilisation. Yao Fune! That is what is responsible. A force like Chaos
itself, that infects the mind and turns it to mush, like those sages."
"That is what I think. I think the Emperor's mind was infected by
poisonous ideas and I think the sages are too stupid to rule. I support
the Exarch, the next in line to an Emperor who has abdicated his duty. I
am General Han Sui, Who Guards Against The West, and yet these days I
look to the east with greatest fear. The West? Ha! All my life I've
witnessed these weaklings have poked and prodded to get past the Iron
Forts and drag their rotten carcasses back into the glory that is
Kralorela. A half-breed of criminals and barbarians who fear dragons and
worship stormy weather. It is the fall of the east that worries me the
most. The rotting within."
"What say you Dragonman? How will your people react to this threat to
the home of your most humble human servants, who have protected you for
dozens of our generations? Will the Dragonmen join the fight against the
drug-addled Can Shu? Against the barbaric pirates of Melib? Against the
mountain-dwelling goblin primitives? Will the Dragonmen fight alongside
us?"
