Surprisingly, Rikku finds himself slowly coming to. But instead of his
shiny sickle, he finds himself staring at a mirrored bauble. He struggles,
only to find that he is bound to the futon. He thinks about casting
magics, but only to discover that around his neck is a Slave Collar,
reducing his Power and will.

The annoyingly smiling Kurix Can Shu and places a moist sponge against the
lips of Rikku. "Don't worry, dear brother, it's not poisoned. Not this
time, at least."

"Now, before you try to attack me again - and lose, because I am big
brother, remember? - let me try to tell you a few things and hopefully
this time it will sink into your brain. After all, it didn't work hundreds
of years ago, and I am nothing if not patient."

"Oh, and I understand revenge as well. After Godunya ordered the fleet of
the Godlearners sunk, well, I've been planning since."

"We Godlearners know a secret of the universe, something that less
developed societies do not know or understand, and they hate us for it. We
know that the universe, and everything in it, is a figment of our
collective imaginations. The Gods are powerful because people make them
so. The myth that wins is the one which transforms reality itself."

"Of course, I do apologise for working that magic which cannot heal, yes,
your poor hands. A fine discovery tho' don't you think? A change to
reality that is permanent, that not even magic can change? Well, yes. I
guess I did get a little careless with that Fire rune, didn't I? But
wasn't it magnificent? To think that we can use the Runes to permanently
change reality to the point that not even the Gods can change it? Now
that's true Power!"

"Our choices in the Hero Plane actually change reality on the ground. When
you chose to side with the Lich-King over the General, you lead to the
victory of myself, over our local General. An unexpected benefit is that
we know have control over a walking fort. Imagine that!"

"I want to overthrow the Sun God. Annoyingly pompous arse that he is; and
the way to do that would be to march into the lands of the Sun God and get
his priests addicted to Black Lotus. I hear that they are already fond of
a minor narcotic called hazia, so this should be relatively simple."

"That shipment, no doubt, could be transported by the walking fort, I
think. But there's something else I need. I need a certain Duck defeated.
For that duck has control of an old god of the trolls, one Zerel Fan, the
Black Sun. The trolls have been such good allies, you see."

"So what do you say, good brother. What can I offer you, to carry out
these tasks for me. You see, you have the right contacts, the right
people.. I have some business to attend to here."
