OK, getting to the foot of the plateau is no problem. It is an
incredible steep rock that rises almost vertically from the ground.
There seems to be no foliage growing on the slate blue surface. You know
that the stories say that no man can live on the plateau for the very
soil is poison. How are you going to progress?

Looking up at the sheer cliffs before them Aalmon sighs deeply. "Either
there is an easier way up or we will have to resort to more dangerous
means. I have heard there is trade between the trolls of the plateau
and men, in which case the best thing to do might be to find some
traders and ask for their help. If we fail in that then there might be
magical ways up onto the plateau but I fear the Blue Moon is older and
stranger than the Red Moon and my magics might not work as we would
