OK, I'll use a RuneQuest house-rule for this - one extra phase,
half-attack chance, but automatic deadly or severe hit.

In the meantime, Dridian casts Wind at the area at a hope of increasing
Mori's charge; alas the spell fails this phase [roll 75]. The dragon,
peculiarly, does not seems to be engaging Mori but is rather glaring and
hissing at Balu.

Mori strikes again at the Dragon [roll 59] and narrowly misses.

In the next phase, Dridian casts again and succeeds [roll 16]. The spell
"damages" Balu and the Dragon but aids Mori's strike [add EL+1 to
damage], albeit without much help in direction! With his great strength,
Balu only suffers slightly from the wind [-1 to PMR] and the Dragon, not
surprisingly, is totally unaffected.

The Dragon finishes the spell he had for Balu; and he feels a great wave
of Abandonment wash over him. [Roll 74, MEL 17, EL 8 vs MDV 5 +10 -
succeeds by 1%!]. Balu becomes enthralled by the desolate landscape
around him and wander aimlessly [for the next 27 turns].

Mori again strikes at the Dragon, the force of his blow improves by
Dridian's Wind [an unorthodox use of the spell, but I'll allow it]. This
time he hits and black blood oozes from the wound! [roll 22, damage 3 +
4 + 4 + 2 = 13 - 12 NAV = 1 points of damage] Further, with the
successful damaging blow, the innate Fatal Spear activates, and although
the Dragon is too large to be affected [i.e., instantly killed] as
lesser of its kin, which would be killed instantly - it still suffers as
the Sidhe magic burns into its innards [EL*2+1d6 damage = 16 + 4 = 20
points].

The greatest of Elder Dragons bellows in pain and surprise, and licks
its lips in preparation for the next phase....
