OOC
Loran:
For exemple, I wrote intentionaly : ..."I have already discovered myself
that this little plant-man is a bag of provocations…" ...So I'm fully
guilty, but worse to this is the fact that Azhur is avoiding Icthya as much
as politeness authorize it. He just doesn't know how to speak to a plant and
a lot of strange legends are perturbing him (people killed by seeds growing
out their belly, forbidden forests, unstoppable arrows, walking trees,
plant-nymphes that charm righteous knights and make them forget their honor
and duties... and so on).
Sam:
Do you have the Char-Un book? It is great for how evil elves are.
Loran:
My english is poor, but i'm fully responsible for being correctly
understood...
Sam:
Your English is absolutely fine. The content of what you write also makes it
worth getting past any mistakes of language. I am presently living and
working (including teaching) in a foreign country/language. My wife doesn't
have English as a first language but we speak in English as much as
possible. I used to teach English as a second language too. So I know what
it is all about. I hadn't considered for an instant that your English was in
error, I had thought you had forgotten my PC was female. That your character
doesn't perceive the difference is much more interesting.
Loran:
But do we have to begin a flamewar for that ?
Me:
Not going to happen. It isn't because of your English either. Philip has
previously demonstrated that he has an issue with my English and he
expressed himself in such a way (or I interpreted things in such a way) that
I did feel genuinely very uncomfortable last night seeing him commment on my
English again. Again, I can explain myself more fully off-list, though I
doubt you want to hear it :) I may not have expressed myself very well last
night, but I did, as I said, really want him to go away. He did, so that's
fine.
Loran:
Please, let's go back to the game.
Sam:
Yes please. Interesting that Azhur felt obliged to protect her from the
trolls. Please feel free to have Azhur confront Icthya with his wild
superstitions about her people. She might be able to make some of those
superstitions come true, who knows? :)
Salut.
Sam.
