When engaging in the ceremony you go into a trance
state. If you die in the HeroQuest you die in the
mundane plane as well*.

However, one of the things about a HeroQuest is that
you might be able subtly change a story (i.e., it
doesn't have to be a perfect re-enactment of a past
myth) if the new circumstances allow.
