You can play around with what death means though.
E.g. Azhur stays behind to defend everyone and somehow his old self "dies".
It is probably wise at this point to make it explicit if Lev is or is not
allowed to "kill" a PC to the point that the PC is no longer available to
the player. Just a thought.
BTW, Icthya is generally looking unhappy at all these big smelly brutes with
big sharp teeth and is looking forward to getting the quest under way. She's
talking to the reindeer and seeing if it can act as the wolf (bit funny
that).
