Taking leave from the Priestess, Icthya travelled
through the new Forest of Seguarane to its southern
border, collecting information from runner scouts on
the way. The Telmori, although expert hunters of the
woodlands, we no match for Icthya's stealth,
especially aided by travel along the Deu River.
Her estimations was that the Telmori numbered in the
several thousand wolves and and a few thousand
brothers. Certainly the largest quantity she had ever
encountered or had even heard of, with the possible
exception of all those in the wilds of Railos.
Surprisingly, the damage of the ecosystem was minimal.
The Telmori were smart enough to realise that the
woods were not yet populated with wildlife, and
appeared to living both off rations which they had
brought with them and that which they had pillaged
from the farmlands on their way here. There is a grim
aura surrounding the various Telmori camp; many seem
to have suffered wounds, but their tenacity and
hardiness is evident.
Emboldened by her successes at stealth, Icthya moved
closer to the wood's edge, further from the Telmori
campsite, hoping to see if any of the Undead Army of
Nolos of which she had heard were present. After two
days of serious searching, she was about to give up,
thinking that the runner was surely mistaken.
Then she chanced upon some; a group of five black-clad
individuals travelling between the trees towards the
Telmori campsite. They moved with uncanny judgement
and silence, and even Icthya almost ran into them.
There was little doubt in her mind that these were
indeed servants of Vivamort. But something confused
her; she was no expert of the isignia of the human
kingdoms, but surely what few markings they wore
indicated not the Duchy of Nolos, or even the Kingdom
of Seshnela, but the Holy Church of Rokari!
