Loran,

I don't think a debate over the rule mechanics is going to get us very 
far[1].

If you feel that strongly then I have no objection to unwinding the 
whole scene and making it so that it never happened. I thought I had 
given plenty of fore-warning of what direction I was taking the game but 
I'm not going to spoil the game for anyone.

To an extent I have been meta-gaming because I rather wanted to see if 
having a love-triangle in the game would be fun. Love triangles have 
endless story possibilities and I really just wanted to make a whole lot 
of story hooks and see who picked up on them.

[1] As it happens I think the whole "resist with an ability" applies to 
heroes rather than NPCs etc.

As for blessings I think that Resist Lust and Resist Heathen Spirit are 
the two that would be specific enough, if they had happened to have been 
used in the previous week.
